As a senior, I got to immerse myself in the process of creative bladesmithing, which led me to forging metal. This photo not only captures the beginning of my process, but it also represents the strength and will it takes to change the shape of something that is seen as unbendable. Physically, this photo is of 1085 steel heating up to 1200 degrees, but symbolically, it is a message to all that nothing is ever too strong or secure, that it is permanent or unchangeable, including mindset, situation, environment, and spirit.
